Mentors both Male and Female required for Bursary Fund Mentoring, Outreach and Extra Mural Educational and Practical Training Programme. Attached is a copy of the Programme to which we refer. This program is run and executed by at the moment by GBOBA and SOMMSA members and past Lawhill Maritime Students on a voluntary basis.
In late 2019 the fund was notified that Alistair Struthers (GB 1960/61) had passed away and completed a codicil to his will which eventually resulted in a legacy donation.
In 2020 notification was received that Clive Gibson (GB 1964) had left his entire estate to the Bursary Fund by creating a Trust of which the Bursary Fund will receive an amount of
R50 000 per annum.
We encourage other like-minded donors to take note of this as a way of contributing to the future success of the fund by completing the attached codicil.
